Driver involved in Cambridge crash was a real dick, police say

Cambridge Police report on what happened after a driver plowed into the back of another vehicle at Mass. Ave. and Pleasant Street last Thursday night:

When the two parties stopped in traffic after the crash, the operator of the suspect vehicle exited his vehicle and exposed himself to the victim before getting back into his vehicle and fleeing the scene.

if it's the same person, a Boston taxi driver, who almost hit me as I was walking on the sidewalk and then when I rapped on the window to let him know I was there, got out of his vehicle and pulled out his dick, pointed it and then said, "This is what you really want, isn't it."

I believe that same individual was allowed to keep his hackney license.

And they wonder why we don't report.

I'd feel pretty damn smug if not only did I get a hit & run driver arrested, but also got him branded a sex offender for the rest of his life.

since I had my phone in my hand like everybody does these days, and I sent it to the Boston police, and they followed up on it. But as soon as the guy showed up with his lawyer wanting to keep his hack license they caved and let him keep it.

Unless the cam is pointing to the front while the incident happened in the back.

I'm not disagreeing with the assertion that installing a dash cam can be useful, however in this case I don't think it would have been helpful:

The victim’s vehicle was rear-ended by another vehicle. When the two parties stopped in traffic after the crash, the operator of the suspect vehicle exited his vehicle and exposed himself to the victim before getting back into his vehicle and fleeing the scene.

Unless the flasher walked in front of the victim's car before dropping trow, or the victim unmounted the theoretical dash cam and manually pointed it at the flasher (ie: took the camera out of the car and pointed it backwards), I doubt a dash cam would have captured this incident.

Hopefully, however, police will be able to ID the offender by license plate (or something else).

Adam, you wrote:

But the corresponding entry in the CPD Daily Log appears to indicate that this happened on Green St:
