Got a question for a Congressman?
By Brian Riccio on Fri, 02/16/2018 - 9:20am
I'll be helping out on this week's Young Jurks show on WEMFRadio.com this Saturday night at 6PM. The guest this week will be Congressman Mike Capuano.
I would be more than glad to ask him my own questions but would love to get a question or two from a UHubber.
As Bill O'Reilly says, "keep it pithy".

Sure
Ask him what can be done to get rid of the ridiculous gerrymander which is his district. It's preposterous.
2020 census
All districts need to be redrawn after the decennial census. He (or Ayanna) will have a new district boundary for the 2022 election.
Sure
but really, what are the chances the state legislature will actually address this? I think more MA politicians should be put on record about this or we'll never see any change.
{narrator] they never did see any change.
Why don't you ask Lynch that same question?
Since this gerrymander exists because of him.
um
is he being interviewed too?
Where is he on protecting big cats?
Will he co-sponsor the "Big Cat Public Safety Act"?
If not, why not?
Here is some information about it:

Five Mass. congresspeople already co-sponsor it.
Thanks Adam!
Friendly Amendment
Thanks Brian too!
This Congress Is The Most Loathed Public Body in America
Voter approval ratings for the US Congress haven't risen above the teens since you were first elected. The IRS consistently polls as more than twice as popular and well-regarded. More Americans belief in extraterrestrial life than believe that you and your colleagues are doing an effective job representing their needs and concerns.
So Rep. Capuano, why do you think that your 'seniority' in this Congress - that you are further to the top of this heap - should matter to voters?
Committees
If the dens take control of congress. Which committees do you anticipate chairing ?
Thanks, Brian. Here's one
One of the differences between Capuano & Pressley regards the infamous border wall-- Capuano would be willing to go along with the wall if he could get some of his priorities passed with immigration. Pressley won't.
While I sympathize with Capuano's idea of using it as a negotiation chip (especially with DACA), I loathe the idea of us funding this expensive boondoggle on the border. After all, the Donald promised that we aren't paying for it, right?
What is he doing to protect us from having to foot the bill for thousands of miles of unnecessary construction?
QUESTION How is he balancing transit access vs. eminent domain
Eminent Domain in Somerville is a tragedy
