Guy is breaking into houses in St. Mark's section of Dorchester - but not taking anything

Suspect description updated.

Boston Police report they are looking for somebody they say has broken into four houses in the area of St. Mark's Parish and the Shawmut T station while residents were asleep inside.

Police say the suspect, described as a black man, 5' 8" 5' 10" with a slim build and dressed in dark clothes, broke into the houses in "the early morning hours." They add:

All victims have reported there was no property stolen from their homes.

Police say they have stepped up patrols in the area, but add residents should lock all windows and doors - and pull down curtains or blinds at night so he can't peer in. Leaving some lights on would also help, police say.

Hot damn! I am on the area's Next Door page and not a PEEP about this. Sounds like this scum is up to something other than robbery but hasn't found his perfect opportunity.

Very odd. Any explanation as to why? Could they have stolen something the victim should not have?

"All victims have reported there was no property stolen from their homes. The suspect is described as a black male with a slim build, about 5'8"-5'10" tall, and wearing a black shirt and dark pants."

How and where did you get the "hispanic man" description?
