great quote from Amy Poehler when she got her Hasty Pudding award? "I want to say that it’s unsettling that there will be no women on stage tonight," she said to cheers. "You know it’s time for a change when the Augusta National Golf Club has lapped you in terms of being progressive."

What's next, women demanding to perform in male burlesque shows?

Drag acts are a thing. You can't be a woman and be considered "drag."

This isn't a theatre club. It's a drag theatre club.

as members. Time to cast women in the shows. Duh.

and there are maybe two dozen acting/theater groups at Harvard. Being men-in-drag has always been HP's distinction from the rest.

So, yes, women can dress in drag, and have been, for a looooong time.

Why does "ass" have to be such a complicated word?

Kate Middleton vibe with her look here. She could be the authentic recurrence of her ladyship the Duchess of Cambridge. (See what I just did there?)

... some past honoree or other or maybe a snarky Crimson columnist noting that Hasty Pudding was the epitome of a liberal arts education because it afforded members the opportunity to dress like Yale men. Sic transit etc... ;-)

Dear Women

Congrats on smashing such a gigantic social barrier. Women from Roxbury to the Mississippi Delta, women are dancing in the streets. Now they'll be able to be just as dickish as men when they attend Harvard.

Or at least they can read about it on the Internet. Poor people always love to learn about how their betters live.

The woman is a national treasure!
