Where do they nest?

The only likely spot to me seems like the west side where the path is high about the water and there's lots of knotweed. I wonder the same about all the damn geese everywhere - it never seems like there's a lot of good nesting habitat around the Pond.

Trees

Wood ducks nest in trees, up to 60 feet above ground! The ducklings leave the nest about a day after hatching - jump right out of those high holes! - and the mother then raises the brood on the water in stands of bulrushes etc.
