Can I put in a plug for iNaturalist (https://www.inaturalist.org/, and in app stores)? You upload your photo and it crowdsources the identification. They use it to help track populations (plant, animal, fungus, etc.), and it's kinda neat.

No need to continue arguing about a hypothetical, since, whatever the bird is, it's not a piping plover.

Adam, I would also like to discuss what could hypothetically happen if it was a dinosaur that somehow got out of its pen despite every precaution being taken.

Technically speaking, it is a dinosaur, of the small, feathered, modern variety.

I'm working from home today and could really use an ornithological real-time drama to distract me a little..
