Jury convicts three MS-13 members of murdering rival gang member in Chelsea

A federal jury in Boston today convicted an MS-13 leader and two of his henchmen for the Dec. 14, 2014 murder of Javier Ortiz in Chelsea.

The US Attorney's office reports that Noe "Crazy" Salvador Perez Vasquez, 27, a Salvadoran national and leader of the Everett Locos Salvatrucha MS-13 "clique," teamed up with Hector "Vida Loca" Enamorado, 39, a Honduran national and a member or "homeboy" of the Chelsea Locos Salvatrucha, and Luis "Brujo" Solis Vasquez, 27, a Salvadoran national and homeboy of the Eastside Locos Salvatrucha.

According to the US Attorney's office:

Enamorado and the victim had engaged in a gang-related fight the night before the murder, and when Enamorado encountered the victim again the following night, Enamorado called Perez to ask him for a gun. Perez delivered the murder weapon, a .380 caliber pistol, to Enamorado in Chelsea. Solis armed himself with a gun and went with Enamorado into the apartment to provide backup and necessary support for the attack. Enamorado used Perez’s gun to fatally shoot the victim three times. Enamorado also shot and wounded a second victim who was inside the apartment at the time of the murder.

The three are the 41st, 42nd, and 43rd MS-13 members to plead or be found guilty since federal and local officials rounded up 61 alleged MS-13 members in raids in 2016. Enamorado has been held since 2014 when he was arrested for Ortiz's murder by Chelsea Police.
