The US Attorney's office reports that Elmer Alfaro Hercules, 20, pleaded guilty yesterday to one count of being an alien in possession of firearms and ammunition.
Hercules and alleged MS-13 member Nery Rodriguez Diaz were arrested in the Bremen Street Park, near Marion Street, on May 22.
Diaz has yet to either plead or come to trial.
Hercules, a Salvadoran national, had sentencing set for Jan. 17 by US District Court Judge F. Dennis Saylor, who has been handling MS-13 cases related to a 2016 sweep. Hercules faces up to ten years in federal prison.
In 2015, a federal judge ordered Hercules's deportation - in absentia.

Such a nice boy
To bad he was deported 3 years ago and carries a gun today..
He was trying to turn his life around only he did a 360 instead of a 180
These kids scare the F out of me
They need to go. Civilians are not off limits for them & that is a HUGE problem. God forbid somebody accidentally bumped into this kid..
Once more for the folks in the back
Emigration problem, not immigration problem.
It's a small town. I imagine that when a judge makes an order against you, whether you're there or not, you'll find out. Just like Jesse Pinkman, he could have been gone and free, but instead, he's going to jail.
Illegal alien?
Really, Adam? You seem like a pretty forward looking guy -- obviously this young adult is no charmer, but an "illegal alien?"
I'm not a bleeding heart liberal but the term undocumented immigrant is a little more appropriate, no?
Changed it to "alien"
In the press release about the plea, the US Attorney's office said:
So that's what I used. But the actual indictment starts:
