So, it's not just me...
I don't normally watch games, but I've been caught up in the World Series, since it's in town. The game got way more pleasant to watch once I realized between the play I was seeing, and the infographics on the screen, I didn't need any of the information the commentators were saying. I muted the game, and have been watching it while playing music. (I started with a Dropkick Murphys playlist.)
WEEI
For the first two games, WEEI's broadcast was just a few seconds ahead of the OTA broadcast on Channel 25. So if you look away for a minute, you'll hear an exciting play on the radio and be able to look at the screen and not miss anything. Not sure how it would work on cable, but if cable systems have a lag, they might actually be in sync.

And how in spite of his hall of fame credentials Smoltz adds absolutely nothing to the broadcast and I'd honestly rather just listen to Joe Buck in a one man booth if they can't get Eck for some reason (and BTW, whatever that reason is isn't a good enough reason).
