Randolph man charged with firing shot that injured woman, child in Roxbury

Boston Police report arresting Victor Swain, Jr., 18, of Randolph, on charges he fired a gun Saturday night at Cedar and Washington streets, grazing a woman in the head and showering her 3-year-old child with glass.

Police say the woman and child had just gotten into her car when Swain opened fire.

Police report officers found and arrested Swain at 25 Drayton St. in Dorchester today after "a brief standoff." He was charged with two counts of assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon and with several firearms violations.
