The MBTA shut power on the Red Line towards Alewife around 12:45 p.m. after a man fell on the tracks and was knocked unconscious. He was lifted out about ten minutes later. The T reported delays up to 20 minutes on the Red Line.
Outbound train to Alewife finally leaving Kendall Square now (12:59pm)
Kudos to whoever help save this man's life
what the protocol is for bystanders who see someone fall on the tracks. Call 911? Press the red intercom button? Jump down and haul them out? (No, probably not.) Get ready to flag down the next approaching train so they don't run over the person?
(Recruit people to do each of those?)
