Byron Rushing could go, especially for a Medical Doctor. More than two decades? I think it's closer to 30+ years give or take. Don't be surprised if Charlie Baker gets a good jolt. I won't predict defeat but Rev. Lively will do extremely well in a tiny turnout of a tiny party that received over a million votes for "unpopular" Trump who Baker hates.

Most unenrolled will take a Democrat ballot for the Galvin/Zakim race, Marty Walsh's BFF Dan Koh and others seeking the Nikki Tsongas seat and "progressives/white guilt" seeking to topple Capuano in favor of Pressley. Baker will be left with mostly Republicans who supported Trump who he despises. At least it will be an early night with few voting and few ballots to count

Win or lose, Galvin is an election genius. With many adults returning from Labor Day vacation and students just moving in statewide this weekend, not enough time for Zakim to get them registered and active. I believe Galvin used upcoming "Jewish holidays" for his calling the election the day after Labor Day. Priceless.

Rosh Hashanah - ends at sunset on Tuesday, September 11
Yom Kippur - begins before sunset on Tuesday, September 18

so yes, neither of those are good dates for an election. Galvin still could have picked a different day such as tomorrow or Thursday, though. He has scheduled primary elections for Thursdays in the past when Tuesdays conflicted with Jewish holidays.

The Sun has no excuse for not being 100% accurate: the 9th Suffolk covers ::part:: of the South End, the other part being represented by Aaron Michlewitz (3rd Suffolk).(At least that's what I heard once ..) (PS. Aaron hasn't faced a challenger since 2009!)

Having the South End split up between different representatives harms that neighborhood.
