Steve Wynn won't be cutting a ribbon to open the new Everett casino

Wynn steps down as Wynn Resorts CEO. He maintains his innocence, says he doesn't want to let the haters tear down the company he built.
Last week, a state gaming investigator publicly stated that Wynn's attorney acknowledged he had paid a manicurist $7.5 million to keep quiet about her claims he molested her.

He's totally entitled to due process before the state convicts him of sexual assault charges.
Which they have not trying to do. It's not a criminal trial, so no one is entitled to any of the constitutional protections afforded to it. They're investigating the fitness of his company to run a casino in the state, which is a totally orthogonal thing. (And yes, for the record, I agree that it's a completely bogus set of hoops to jump through, but we'll never get rid of the gaming commission for the same reason we'll never get rid of our stupid liquor laws: it's a pseudo-legal process encumbered by centuries of Puritan ethics and hysterical moralizing)
And for what it's worth, Adam would be totally within his rights to boot $UHUB_COMMENTER based on your accusation. His operation, his rules. Just like the gaming commission.
Will the state make them take his name off the building?
Right now, it's supposed to have a big lighted Wynn sign on top. Can the state make them take that off, and otherwise rebrand it so that it doesn't feature his name?

...If they think putting "Wynn" at the top of the casino is a good branding decision for the company, so be it. Otherwise, they can call it something else.

I'm a woman and it's certainly not going to stop me from going to his casino, having a good time, and spending a lot of cash. Just thought I'd throw that out there. I can't wait for it to open. I'm not much of a gambler, but I love the atmosphere and places to go, eat, and shop.
