Textbook Race-Baiting by Republican Shiva Ayyadurai in Great Barrington

Both Geoff Diehl and Shiva Ayyadurai took a trip to Great Barrington, Massachusetts Sunday, not because they wanted to attend Senator Elizabeth Warren's 30th town hall but because they wanted to critique her, and in Shiva's case bait Warren's supporters. Both of them succeeded.

In the video included below, Shiva stands across the street from a line of people going to the Warren town hall and speaks through a bullhorn at them.

He says he wants to have "a discourse about racism" but it seems limited to calling Warren's supporters racist. One older man crossed the street to give his response. Shiva lit him up on the bullhorn calling him racist repeatedly, about 18 times, "That's right, you're the racist, boy. Racist, racist, racist, racist, racist, racist, racist, racist, racist, racist, racist, racist, racist, racist, racist, racist, racist." It was a chorus that joined Shiva in taunting the man that included about half a dozen people some of them holding Shiva's banner.

When the man finished crossing the street he was standing in front of Shiva. He tried to speak his piece. Shiva had him on blast and easily spoke over him with the bullhorn. Shiva took a break from calling him racist to call the police "Officer we have a guy waving his umbrella here." The man had just lowered it to his side.

Toe-to-toe with the man. Shiva called him racist nine times over the bullhorn and smiled as if he was enjoying it. Frustrated and outraged the man lost his temper and self-control and shoved the bullhorn in Shiva's face, which is unlawful.

One of Shiva's supporters bull-rushed the man, pushing him down backwards onto the street then holding him down. To their credit Shiva and/or a supporter told the bull-rushing Shiva supporter to stop roughing up the older man. After a few second the police step in and Shiva says"He hit me right in the mouth, officer" which is literally not what happened. What happened was the man pushed Shiva in the bullhorn and the bullhorn hit Shiva in the mouth. Six of one I suppose.

Shiva's bull-rusher was not arrested but the police took his information. The older man who pushed the bullhorn in Shiva's face was arrested. The Berkshire Eagle reports he was charged with assault and battery.

Shiva started right up again with the race-baiting on the bullhorn at the people waiting in line across the street saying "That's racism right there. You're the racists. That's what you guys do. Racist, racist, racist. Take him in. Take him in. Lock him up. Liberal fascists, you're the liberal fascists. You don't know what racism is, look at you, You've never experienced it. White privilege, Living in (unintelligible) and eating your organic food while Elizabeth Warren (unintelligible) everyone else. Singing your stupid bloody songs. Wake up America. You guys are the scumbags."

The crowd across the street chanted "When you go low we go high."

Shiva turned to the camera and said, "Twitter feed live?"

Later the cameraman said "As you saw they just tried to attack Shiva and we just wanted to talk and they came up and initiated force..They can't have a conversation so they resort to violence right away."

Shiva was in a a roll, "I come from the land of Ghandi. You guys are violent people." Shiva got his video and a claim he was attacked by a Warren supporter. That certainly part of the story.
