Great choice Mayor. He'll make the city proud, I'm sure

Today he is a decent good man who worked his way up the ranks to earn the respect of his fellow cops and earned the top job.
Tomorrow the job starts and the honeymoon begins which will last until the first you tube video depicts a teen or homeless citizen being abused and all hell will break out.

I am happy for Commissioner Gross and believe he is a genuinely nice guy and a great person for the job. I wish him well. As for "climbing the ranks" I believe William Evans was a Civil Service Captain (highest Civil Service rank) and Gross was a Civil Service Sergeant (low-level management).

Important to note that this is a civilian position (the media won't tell you) so all of you are eligible. That's why Gross wore a suit today and not a police uniform. I'm personally glad that Mayor Walsh picked an actual, now former cop but this is a management position so I hope he is allowed to have good management people around him.

Fish is a right wing troll out of the Howie Carr mold. His post is just a prelude to his later criticisms of Gross.

Having studied statement content analysis ( under Avi Sapir former Mosad Agent) Fish has left “tells” in his statements. He didn’t quite go there on Gross but he foreshadowed what he is wanting to say.

He speaks well of Evans but damns Gross with faint praise. Notice him trying to diminish Gross by stating he was “low level management” and then (in a plausible deniable way) raises the suggestion that because Gross was low level, he will need “good management people around him.”

What a sneaky, slimy bastard Fish is.

BTW Fish, when are you going to reveal what PD you were on & in what capacity

He sounds like he'll be a police commissioner of Boston for all the city's people.
