Battery Wharf Hotel workers to go back to work

The hotel and Unite Here 26, which represents workers, came to an agreement and workers voted today to ratify the new contract, the union reports.

The contract now contains sexual harassment protections including panic buttons, immigration protections, and technology protections. The Battery Wharf Hotel agreed to continued participation in the UNITE HERE Local 26 African American hiring taskforce, established in 2006 to fight discrimination in the hotel industry. The contract also guarantees affordable healthcare, raises, and a pension.
