Brockton man charged with Roxbury shooting

Boston Police report arresting Julio Soto, 27, of Brockton, on charges he shot another man on Fairland Street on May 11.

Soto is scheduled for arraignment in Roxbury Municipal Court on charges of armed assault with intent to murder, aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a firearm, police say. His victim survived.

Soto was arrested yesterday at Blue Hill Avenue and Westview Street, police say. This is not the first time Soto has been arrested on Blue Hill Avenue on gun charges.

Thank you law enforcement and the communities for this arrest. Apparently this individual didn't learn his lesson from the first gun arrest he had.

Unfortunately his first brush with the law didn't keep him contained and unfortunately it almost cost someone's their life.

Like reforming the juvenile system and other parts of the Criminal Justice System I believe it is imperative that we go ahead and reform our Gun Laws.

Times have changed and are changing human beings incredibly aggressive in all spectrum of bring harm to each other more than ever before, on all spectrums of harm esp. Firearms.
I would like to commend every Boston police officer for removing these Firearms off our street on a daily basis sometimes averaging 5 to 6 Firearm removals per week.
