Divers pull man from Muddy River; pronounced dead at hospital

Boston Fire Department divers got a man in his 30s out of the Muddy River at Charlesgate this morning, but he was pronounced dead at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.

The Boston Fire Department reports firefighters in survival gear immediately went into the water after responding to the river around 6:10 a.m. BFD divers then got the unresponsive man out and ready for Boston EMS.

The DA's office adds:

The cause and manner of death will be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, but a preliminary investigation does not suggest foul play.

Lot's of bodies recovered from that area over the years.I wonder if is there some kind of catchment or other obstacle there that stops them from drifting further?
