Nothing says World Class like naming your team after a Mel Gibson movie. Though I guess the Road Warriors would be pretty cool.

Worcester is known as "The Heart of Massachusetts" among other names. A heart icon is on most street signs.

I can't wait until they have another minor league team named the Worcester Paris of the Eightieses.

The Bravehearts aren't a minor league team.

Worcester is known as "The Heart of Massachusetts" among other names.

First time I've heard of that.

If anything, I'd call it the 'Clap Capital of Massachusetts'

Or whatever else you can use to define Worcester's bankruptcy post Triple AAA stadium

Here's the explanation for the name on the team website [http://www.worcesterbravehearts.com]:
"The team name has two meaningful components. First, the 'Brave' component is a tribute to Worcester’s brave men and women in uniform serving locally and abroad. More particularly, the word 'Brave' is also an homage to Worcester’s recent fallen firefighters who epitomized bravery, including Christopher Roy, who died on December 9, 2018, Jon Davies who perished on December 8, 2011, as well as the six who perished in the Worcester Cold Storage Warehouse fire on December 3, 1999 (Paul Brotherton, Timothy Jackson, Jeremiah Lucey, Jay Lyons, Joseph McGuirk, and Thomas Spencer). Second, the 'hearts' component is a reference to Worcester’s nickname as the 'Heart of the Commonwealth.'"

I don't think that hand sanitizer is an effective preventative for the clap.

And don't ride the tractor in your bathing suit, of course.

Kind of confusing that they are praising the Clap, while also showing the football sign for safety.
