Non-profit wants to add 85 affordable apartments to Tai Tung Village in Chinatown

The Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association of New England, which owns the Tai Tung Village apartment complex on Harrison Avenue, told the BPDA this week it will soon file plans for a six-story, 85-unit apartment building on what is now a parking lot at the complex.

All of the proposed units in the 288 Harrison Residences would be rented to people making no more than 60% of the Boston area median income, according to the letter of intent filed with the BPDA.

The proposal calls for 40 parking spaces.
