Not something on the new train we hope: Orange Line door problem making riders mope

The MBTA reports a "door problem" on one train inbound from Forest Hills was causing ten-minute Orange Line delays. Or as Massmikmouse put it at 8:07 a.m.:

Past half hour on an Orange Line train with door isssues. Now at Ruggles with the first car being emptied. Maybe, someday, I’ll get to Back Bay. What a morning.

the new orange line train set since its opening day ride? Nearly a week has passed and i'm not convinced it is actually in service after last Wednesday.

If you follow #mbta on Twitter, you'll see daily reports on it. Still doesn't seem to be running a full day's service, though.

The one with the wider doors and more space? That has not run once during rush hour? I get that we need to ramp up, but a week of running it for 3-5 trips in the middle of the day and pulling it out of service is super annoying for those of use that use the service to commute. Especially if you board at an oversubscribed location like Sullivan Sq.

Dear MBTA: Please make that new train go past Sullivan between 7 and 8am on a weekday, and past anywhere downtown between 5 and 6pm.

Or stop claiming it's in service, because it effectively isn't. It's just a press junket vehicle.

I was in the train behind the problematic train. 10 minutes sitting at Green, breezed through Stony Brook, then sat at Jackson, then sat at Rox Crossing with the doors closed (preventing me from catching the bus to Dudley to connect to silver line), then before I could sit any longer at Ruggles I got out and walked.

Paused at Jackson Square, announced the station, didn’t open the damned doors, and then continues on to Stony Brook. This makes me miss the commuter rail.... #mbtafail
