Red Line is extra late; dead train makes riders wait

Waiting for the train at Kendall

The wait at Kendall, by Amy Reinhart. See it larger.

makes it look like they're all about to avalanche down onto the rails, and the misery would be over. as a red line rider, some days i kinda wish for something like that. oh and also it's probably 90+ in the stations these days for extra fun.

The heat is ungodly in some of these underground stations during the summer, which leads to people desperately trying to pile into crowded cars to get into some air conditioning.

There are some parallels for both major parties and the T.

They've gone off the rails.
Their publicized schedule and their reality run on two different sets of signals.
Their platforms and the people standing on them can get a little stale.
