Boston man charged for South Shore Plaza shooting

Braintree Police report charging Jose Rodriguez, 21, for taking part in a gun battle inside the South Shore Plaza yesterday that sent a 15-year-old to the hospital.

Rodriguez was one of two men taken into custody following yesterday's gunfire, after which police locked down the mall and told nearby residents to stay inside. The second man, however, was released after questioning, police say.

Rodriguez is charged with assault to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery on a child, reckless endangerment of a child, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building and trespassing with a firearm, police say.

He is being held without bail pending his arraignment, police say.

Okay. No comments? Mine may not be worth 2 cents to others, but I just want to get it off my chest that this pisses me off.
