Brookline firefighter tests positive for coronavirus; two others now have symptoms

The town of Brookline announced today that the firefighter whose temperature spike sparked the shutdown of Station 5 on Babcock Street has tested positive for Covid-19 and that two other firefighters at the station "have developed symptoms and are awaiting their test results."

Station 5, re-opened for service today after it underwent "thorough disinfecting," the town says.

A total of 12 firefighters - the three with symptoms and others who either also worked at the station or came into contact with the first firefighter - are currently self-quarantining.
