Nuestra Comunidad Development Corp. and Windale Developers last week filed plans for a five-story, 44-unit apartment building as part of Bartlett Place off Washington and Bartlett streets in Roxbury.

All of the units will be rented to people making no more than 80% of the Boston area median income, with 33 reserved for people making between 30% and 60% of that level - or between $25,000 and $60,000 a year.

The building will have 8 one-bedroom units, 28 two-bedroom units and 8 three-bedroom units.

The building will also have a community room to be shared with residents of other buildings in the Bartlett Place complex - on the 8.6-acre site of a former MBTA bus yard.

The building will have 26 parking spaces, although the developers note the building is within walking distance of the Nubian Square bus depot.

When completed, Bartlett Place is planned to have 323 apartments and condos, along with retail and office space.

Sort of a weird look, but sounds like a good project.
