Hotel at center of Massachusetts coronavirus outbreak to shut indefinitely

For many years, I lived and worked in the North End. I hope that the many workers at Long Wharf Marriot are provided for while the hotel is shut down.

How long can an empty building stay "sick"?

I'd think if they quarantine it for two weeks with nobody allowed inside, it would be just as safe as any other hotel.
