How hard does Bruins ownership suck?

I hope the Bruins play to an empty Garden until you no longer own the team.

You can take your $10 domestic 6 oz pours and fuck off.

Reminds me of a story I overheard in the TD Garden bathroom earlier this season.

"Hey you ever hear the story of when Harry Sinden went to a get together at Mr. Jacobs new mansion? He was asked how did it look and he replied 'Looked like a 50-goal scorer."

Also don't forget those local student dectectives that found about the millions of owed dollars as part of the Fleetcenter deal that was never paid out to local hockey programs.

Oh and he removed the water fountains from the building.

Oh and he couldn't be bothered icing a team that could get beyond the first round, just enough for those first round concession and ticket sales to put him in the green, never putting a true supporting cast behind Ray Bourque and forcing him to chase the Cup elsewhere.

I am grateful for the rare moment of generosity by the Jacobs clan- getting the second Cup to Denver.

But yeah, the Jacobs' are the definition of cheapskates.

Loved the guy even before he handed the cup to Ray and have had a Sakic Nordiques jersey since high school!

It was so worth it to see that rally Ray had when he came back, super worth it getting spotted cutting school for it on NECN by my parents.

If the employees are officially laid off, they can at least get Unemployment Insurance. This really sucks big time.

The MBTA sold the parking lot and lobby of the Garden for peanuts. Jerry screwed the city and the MBTA why wouln't he screw his workers.

Fake outrage. No matter how much B’s tickets cost, how bad the team is or how rotten Jacobs is, fans will always come support the Bruins. I’ll still see plenty of 50 yr old women wearing Neely jerseys with their acid washed jeans when the games resume.

It's called Bruins. Or more specifically, we put your "ruin" in the middle of our "bs."

A fantastic recent edit to his Wikipedia page, under "Philanthropy"

In 2020, Jacobs donated $0 to help TD Garden workers during the Coronavirus pandemic.

This donation brought his family's total contribution to $0.

The Bruins ownership has leeched off the success of the Celtics for years and always gave them the backseat. Wyc mentioned he was considering building a new, separate stadium for the Celtics when they bought the team. It never came to be, but I wish he had.

Also, TD Garden does not provide water for guests. The bubblers have been removed and no bottle fill stations are provided (like at Logan). The only water option is $7 for 16oz of water.
