They are next door to each other and both part of the Partners system. I am supposed to have a routine laser surgery there next week, to remove cloudiness than can sometimes arise years after a cataract surgery.

The info I got was from and specific to Mass General. You may want to call Mass Eye&Ear, or very likely you will hear from them soon if they are cancelling. I've seen some online postings of info that I can't confirm related to other Boston facilities in the Partners System that, like MGH, treat a wide variety of conditions and would be more likely than Eye&Ear to be planning for an influx of critically ill patients.

First hand knowledge, BMC is cancelling surgeries as well. Operation for Tuesday "postponed" indefinitely.

From call received... BMC clinics also canceling.

People are being requested to report to the big crank at the end of their streets to help roll up the sidewalks later today.

I see the French Toast Alert system went into play. Good move. That's pretty much the situation.

What are the chances we could see an Internet "brown out?" This will be an interesting test of the available capacity.

I just had a call cancelling my ortho knee appointment next week. They said closed for business for at least two weeks except for emergencies. My appointment was in Shapiro Center second floor.
