Glad no bike riders were hurt... stop racing.

And glad no innocent bystanders were hurt. I’m guessing that this was the work of teenagers that often do this in the area. They also like to ride up on sidewalks at night. Police say they can’t really chase them because it’s dangerous but something needs to be done.

Don't blame everything on teens... I see grown men racing cars down city streets.

Nope, don't live in Southie. Have seen cars drag race down Beacon and down Comm. Ave. for years though. You new here?

Not sure how effective this has been in the UK but at least they are trying something to get these kids.

It will get in someones eyes and they will crash. Lots of these punks lack safety gear.

Things have really changed since ignoramuses used to throw beer bottles at buses carrying Black kids in Southie.

Or have they?

What does race have to do with anything to do with this article how do you correlate or equate anything in this article to race. I saw nothing in that article about race you are so fucking left field.

Nor did he say anything about teenagers either what the hell are you are reading. They to the facts as you see them

making a quick-deploy cargo net I can string across the road.

Do police have anything like that to safely stop a motorcycle?

They have tire spikes for cars, but that could cause a motorcyclist to fall and get seriously injured.

Ah - premeditated assault (if ever you were to carry through on it).

So much harder to defend, even when used against obnoxious menaces to safety.

...but I do sympathize.

or collateral damage, otherwise I would have looked into it more seriously. Also, while a cargo net was the most likely vigilante solution, it would be a serious engineering project.

"The drivers, and a passenger on one of the bikes, ran away before firefighters or police arrived." Well, clearly they had been up to no good. Idiots.

I'm hearing a lot of crazy driving/noise/speed in my area at 2am as of late. I doubt this is confined to my area.

Last night I heard two different vehicles, neither with much of an exhaust system, moving through local streets slowly. Then they turned onto Rt. 38 and both revved up and peeled out together.

Not likely a mere Sunday Drive.
