Oh, Charlie

Ayanna Pressley gave an impassioned speech at the annual Martin Luther King breakfast this morning about how King's fight for civil rights is far from over. Charlie Baker came next and started with "The only thing I can add to that rant is this ..." He's apologized, of course. Rev. Laura Everett explains the damage was done.

Charlie just stepped on the Third Rail of Boston politics (Race) and time will tell to see how bad he gets zapped.

Of course, this is nothing new to anyone who lives along the Fairmount Line. Baker's true views have been apparent since 2015.

I missed this-- been spending most of my spare moments today watching the sh*tshow unfold in my former home base of Richmond VA-- but I'm surprised this didn't get more coverage.

I don't understand the love some people have for Baker. This isn't the first time he has channeled his inner frat boy, and his affection for Pioneer Foundation-Cato claptrap has undermined infrastructure & transit work.

Every so often Charlie goes off script back to his real self before his reinvention from 'Angry Charlie' as his team used to call him. If Trump did this the Globe would be making a big deal of it, but because they love Charlie its told as he was making a joke. No, this is how our little Trump feels. He's the son of the founder, and later codirector of the right wing Pioneer Institute, the group that won't rest until the MBTA is dead (Baker is getting close). Baker is like Pence, quiet evil, and with the Globe as his Fox News, telling us how tall and handsome and great he is all the time with little critical reporting.

He probably thought he was at The Saint Patrick's Day breakfast.

Empty corporate suit middle manager talk is all I've ever heard from him.
And where the hell was the breakfast?!

Read the WBUR article twice and never saw location.
