The Zoning Board of Appeal today gave the developer of a proposed 106-unit, four-story apartment building at 289 Walk Hill St., near American Legion Highway, another year to start construction on the project.

This is the third time the board has granted an extension to its original approval of the project. An attorney for the current developer, JBBM Realty Trust of Charlestown, which bought rights to the $32-million project in 2019, blamed Covid-19 for the latest delays in getting the work started this time.

Board Chairwoman Christine Araujo accepted the Covid-19 reasons, but cautioned the attorney the board really wants to see work starting this time.

The BPDA approved the project in 2017,

Got to wonder how many young people get these frequent Monty Python references. In the 70's we did the Dead Parrot sketch at our high school's Senior Show, and I still have it memorized.

If they wait a year, construction material costs might drop and that's money in their pocket.

This is what my mom would tell us when she would nap on the sofa.
