Guy in Sox hat sought for attacking media during failed Capitol coup

Wanted man

The FBI has released photos of a guy they say was "involved in the assault of several members of the media and destruction of property at the media staging area at the Northeast Corner of the U.S. Capitol at approximately 5 p.m." on Jan. 6.

If he looks familiar, contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI or submit a tip at tips.fbi.gov. Reference photo 211 - AOM.

Perhaps the Red Sox could provide the FBI with a list of all people who have bought tickets in the past 5 years to help narrow it down.

What?

What have I done to have my name turned over to the FBI?

You do know that you can get a Red Sox hat without setting foot inside Fenway Park, right? Like if all you wanted was the hat, it would be infinitely more convenient to get it from anywhere but inside the ballpark.

I just assumed it was a joke? Maybe not a great one but a joke nonetheless.

Aren't jokes supposed to be funny?

Reference behind joke. BoA gave customer data to the feds, without a warrant.

His cap looks like one of the Ebay hats, or from a mall/street cart, rather than the official MLB (licensee "Lids") or RedSox Shop merchandise.

The chances that this kid is on any list of fans is infinitesimally small.

I wouldn't call the Capitol coup a Lexington or Concord moment but is sure was a Festival of Fools.

We're setting sail to the place on the map
From which no one has ever returned
Drawn by the promise of the joker and the fool
By the light of the crosses that burned
