Hold off on those Henri thoughts for now: Fred-forced flash-flood warning issued for Boston area

The National Weather Service has issued a flash-flood warning for greater Boston that runs through 1:45 p.m.

Blame the remnants of an earlier storm named Fred.

Torrential rainfall moving into the warned area had produced several areas of urban flooding and road closures in the Worcester area. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1.5 inches in 1 hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

Also:

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
