Jon Santiago stops running for mayor

The South End state rep announced this morning he's no longer running for mayor.
Santiago said he's proud of his campaign, which in the most recent poll showed him in single digits, "but the people of Boston have made it clear, and I look forward to supporting the first elected woman of color to lead Boston."

Jon Santiago is a really fine human being. I’m sorry but we didn’t give his candidacy more serious consideration. Our loss.
A Good Man to Serve in the Legislature
I would like to see him continue to represent his district at the state level. His campaign made a better case for doing that than for holding a city-wide office.
It will be interesting to see who he endorses for mayor.
