Local Vanilla ISIS rioters traipsed through the Capitol during the failed putsch

When the MetroWest Daily News interviewed Sue Ianni after she returned from Washington the other day, she declined to say whether she had actually marched on the Capitol, let alone took part in a would-be putsch that left five people dead.

But cameras say Ianni, an elected Precinct 3 Natick Town Meeting member, did make her way into the Capitol

Gregg Housh posts photographic proof that Ianni in fact made her way into the Capitol, along with her fellow white-supremacist organizer, Mark Sahady, of Malden.

Ianni helped organize bus rides to and from Washington from several points in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Sahady, meanwhile, has had his Twitter account suspended.

There's a protest against Sahady and his fellow insurrectionists at Malden City Hall at noon on Sunday.

We need to begin healing dialogs with these confused souls. The dialogs should take place in some official venue, with trained advocates presenting different views of the situation, in front of a neutral arbiter. This arbiter could offer the recent visitors to our Capitol an opportunity to spend a long period of meditation in a suitably isolated structure, where their bodily needs would be provided for.

Or yeah, lock them up.

As a former Natick TM member, and an active participant in local politics, we've examined our charter and have thus far found no grounds on which she can be expelled. Her term is up however in 2022 and there is movement to vote her out.

Let a judge and jury decide if this white supremacist garbage human was unfairly arrested.

I want these people to be forced to take AP US history and civics classes followed by the AP tests. They must retake the classes until they score at least a 4.

A harsher but equally effective alternative would be to force them to listen to 2 hours of NPR Morning Edition every day for the next four years.

I’ve read accounts of inmates earning GEDs and college degrees behind bars.

...following mass covid travel orders?

Even if they were "model citizens" in DC, I'm sure adherance to Mass travel restrictions is up there around 0% for those that happen to have some form of employment.

Enforcement issues aside, I'm gonna call these people turd-fkers.

Reminds me when I was in 6th grade where we had after school intermural basketball and the school let us pick out our team names. Some of these groups may have been in the playoffs I can't remember:

Super Happy Fun America versus The Bay State Chinese-American Patriots ???

I think was the championship game but I can't remember.

While we all enjoy making fun of the goofy, bumpkin-ass self-incriminating MAGAs, and I include myself in this group, we also have to note there were tactical terrorist militia cells who used the mob as cover and were capable of god-knows-what. This is not directed at you, tachometer, and I’m not saying don’t talk about the rubes, I’m simply cautioning that we don’t ignore and discount the mf’ers who did know what they were doing.

Just one account from a Black Capitol police officer:

“That was a heavily trained group of militia terrorists that attacked us,” said the officer, who has been with the department for more than a decade. “They had radios, we found them, they had two-way communicators and earpieces. They had bear spray. They had flash bangs ... They were prepared. They strategically put two IEDs, pipe bombs in two different locations. These guys were military trained. A lot of them were former military,” the veteran said, referring to two suspected pipe bombs that were found outside the headquarters of the Democratic National Committee and the Republican National Committee.

Cletus and Brandine are great for comic relief, but there were some serious paramilitary/militia folks there as well. It's hilarious to laugh at Elizabeth from Knoxville saying "We're stormin' the Capitol! It's a revolution!" but apparently, that's exactly what those dipshits thought they were doing. They thought their Daddy Trump was going to lead them to the Capitol to "take back" the government, and some of them came armed with more than just a Gadsden flag.

All these massless folks in both closed and open spaces. All the more reason for keeping up Covid vigilance in the community.

This could go down as one of the great strategic blunders of history. Someday they will lament that they were poised to "take back America" but in their zeal the first skirmish led to so many Covid casualties that they weren't able to storm the Capitol on inauguration day to seal the victory.

Some of these people are indisputably Nazis, they proudly wear it on their clothing even. And anyone who stands alongside an avowed Nazi stands with them.

And just like their predecessors in Germany, they are doing a fantastic job of documenting their crimes for the world to see.

Building on Brian’s comment, for anyone new to the game or still in denial that much of MAGA-stan espoused and openly embraces nazi and white power ideology, CNN has a good article enumerating many of the most prominent symbols of hate and fascism displayed by the insurrectionists.

It’s worth taking a look because many of these symbols may look benign and are designed to blend into day-to-day life and exist without being challenged. We should all be aware of these symbols of radicalism and violence.
