Worker injured when Hyde Park front porch under renovation collapses

The Boston Fire Department reports one worker was injured when the front porch at 34 Pleasant St. in Hyde Park collapsed this afternoon. The cause is under investigation.

The only way to get ISD
The only way to get ISD inspectors to come by.
One could easily argue
That the collapse was not structural, as the porch was in the process of being rebuilt. ISD tends to care about the final product and if that is up to code.

You can tell everything is up to code by looking at the final product?
Considering it looks like
Considering it looks like there's a still-opened permit for structural work on the porch from back in 2018 that was applied for by the owner instead of a contractor, yeah, it's a shame ISD didn't check anything out until somebody got hurt.
