It's not exactly easy to get filming rights at Harvard... Also Yale is has much more Gothic influence than Harvard. Seems like an odd location choice

I don't think that's Harvard. I believe that the former Episcopal Divinity School campus that is now owned by Lesley University at 99 Brattle.

Ah, but this building is part of Lesley, not Harvard.

I recognized that as Episcopal Divinity School on Brattle Street in Cambridge! Had no idea it was now housing Lesley College...um, I mean University!

That makes sense, I wouldn't have thought Harvard would have easily handed over part of it's campus for a movie about Yale.

Memorial Hall and maybe some of the more modern buildings wouldn't look completely out-of-place on the Yale campus, but all the red-brick Georgian buildings in Harvard Yard/the River Houses/Radcliffe Quad look completely different from pretty much anything at Yale apart from Connecticut Hall.

Not sure how this comment is different from my original comment?

I wonder if it just comes down to tax breaks etc that make it easier to film in Cambridge vs New Haven?

...on the Old Campus which have stonework similar to the buildings in the photo so not that far off. They also have the correct seals for the residential colleges featured on the blue banners, though I have never seen such banners in New Haven (Google Bladderball sometime to find out why JE- Jonathan Edwards -sucks). Fiiming supposedly wrapped 2/8 on the Adam McKay film with Jennifer Lawrence & Di Caprio, so I’m wondering what production this is for? The only other project I’m aware of is the Dexter reboot, but that’s shooting in Worcester and nearby towns

It’s a George Clooney helmed film, The Tender Bar...

Last time I was down there (ugh, too long), there was still a street sign on Essex that had its NYC Statue of Liberty decal on it from the Ghostbusters filming. Street view from November 2019.
