Celtics legend Bill Russell dies, 88

Russell's family made the announcement today of the death of the Celtics star, the first Black coach of a professional North American team and a civil-right activist for whom Boston built a statue outside City Hall.

There was none better. In life and in sport. He was a giant. Yet, we gave a tunnel to f'n ted williams. What a travesty. RIP BILL RUSSELL!
