Emily Wean reports she managed to get on the first ever Green Line train out of Medford/Tufts at Ball Square shortly after 4:45 a.m., even though the train was crowded.
Got off at Magoun. With no sign of a northbound train we decided to walk home. Now please open the path extension, MBTA! As David Wean says, "that's the whole point of the GLX" (for us).

Also at Ball Square this morning: Joe Curtatone, who as Somerville mayor fought long and hard for the Green Line Extension, and our own Ron Newman:

I mean, good for them, but having T access is sort of like marrying a Kardashian. Seems like a good idea at first but never really works out in the end.
Here's to undefined delays of "20+ mins" and broken down cars!
Sigh

Everyone should have access so that it isn't a big deal.
Not surprised to see Ron there, of course,
