Green Line service returns downtown; Haymarket station still shut

The MBTA says Green Line service has resumed today after the removal of 100 tons of debris from the partial Government Center collapse - and after an OK from engineers.

Trains, however, will bypass Haymarket station, on which the debris showered on March 26, the T says.

Structural engineers will continue to closely monitor the tunnel during daily Green Line operations.

Green Line and Orange Line trains continue to bypass Haymarket Station while personnel complete some repair work on the standpipe system, which was damaged by debris from the garage collapse.

Ever since they reopened the Orange Line, the trains have been moving very slowly through the Haymarket stretch. Curious whether they've also put a speed restriction on the Green Line.
