There’s a long simmering tension in the South End between more established residents and newcomers. Which manifests in clear animosity towards young families from some of the old guard, mothers toting children in particular. I lived in the south end and started a family there, and my wife and her friends experienced it firsthand.
There's nothing distinctly "south end" about the stereotype.
The costume we need this year is an Orange Line bridge jumper.
