A major Fenway mess: Blue Jays score to excess, Green Line causes rider stress

It's not just that the Blue Jays scored 28 runs at Fenway tonight (fans started chanting "Let's go Blue Jays!"), but the T reports an inbound Green Line trolley mistook itself for a Sox player and died at Fenway.

Since the Blue Jays made it to 28, it is the most runs the Sox have ever allowed to be scored in the team's history

For MBTA riders and Red Sox fans the worst is yet to come. I'm beginning to believe those doom and gloom subway preachers are prophets.

Managing partner John Henry announced today that the Red Sox have agreed to send Chaim Bloom to the MBTA in exchange for Steve Poftak. Each player is expected to benefit from a change in scenery. Poftak will initially be assigned to Worcester and will work on the Providence and Worcester passenger service which has no passengers fortunately.

Bloom will focus on resolving the MBTA's employee recruitment, development, and retention issues, with a somewhat smaller budget than he has now.

When asked if this should be seen as a salary dump, Mr. Henry said - "More of a regular dump" with the expression of a man has not experienced one in a while.

I was going to say they will each eventually be fired on the same day, but yours is funnier.

They need someone who can "fire" up the team...

I caught a couple of the middle innings. Never have I ever seen so many errors in an MLB game as I saw in the top of the fifth.
