Three-alarm fire displaces 50 on Northampton Street in Roxbury

Boston firefighters responded to 72 Northampton St. around 11:45 p.m. on Tuesday for what turned into a three-alarm fire.

The Boston Fire Department reports nobody was injured in the five-story, 32-unit building, but that 50 people and numerous pets were displaced.

The cause is under investigation.

Companies responded quickly and was able to stop fire on roof of the 32 unit building. Companies are making up & a 2&2 detail will be in place for hotspots. No injuries reported pic.twitter.com/ZkfeUtNHtL
