Two-alarm fire damages duplex on Cedar Street in Mattapan; displaces 12

The Boston Fire Department reports firefighters responded to Cedar Street in Mattapan around 1 a.m. for a fire that started at 55 Cedar, then spread to to the neighboring unit at 57 Cedar St.

The department reports 12 people were displaced. There were no injuries.
