Arrest made for murder of 78-year-old man in Mattapan

Boston Police report arresting a man in Downtown Crossing this afternoon on charges he stabbed Jean Casseus, 78, to death on Rugby Road in Mattapan around 11 a.m. on Oct. 19.

Marc Scutt, 29, was arrested on Tremont Street near Winter Street around 1:30 p.m.

At the time of the stabbing, police say Scutt and Casseus may have known each other.
