Man stopped for South End traffic infraction arrested for 2022 murder in Roxbury park

Boston Police report officers who pulled a man over for a traffic infraction in the South End last night wound up arresting him after his name came up on a warrant charging him with the murder of Bihlal Bell, 31, in Orchard Park on April 11, 2022.

James Morale, 26, was charged with offenses that include murder, unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition, police say.

Morale was ordered held without bail at his arraignment today.

The Suffolk County District Attorney's office provided this account:

Assistant District Attorney Sarah McEvoy said Morale followed Bell, who was a passenger in a separate vehicle. As they approached Orchard Park, Morale drove around the playground area, lowered his window, and began shooting at Bell. Bell had gotten out of his car and began running into the baseball field. Video surveillance shows that Morale and Bell were shooting simultaneously.

Innocent, etc.
