Ari Ofsevit caught the sunrise over Harvard Stadium this morning.
In West Roxbury, Mary Ellen watched the dawn break over the old West Roxbury High School:
I was reading a caption on a Winslow Homer painting where a critic referred to the depicted sky as having an "unnatural" strawberry color.
I suspect said critic had never been in coastal New England.
Update: See it here.
I think coastal New England gets every color sky there is except for the dreaded "Green Sky" usually reported in the Midwest before tornados hit.
That being said: I really like the composition of Ari's photo. I think he took it with a cellphone though. Mary Ellen's is just okay (never thought I'd say that 8-|).
