On top of everything else at the T, CharlieCard vending machines go on the fritz

Update: The T now says the problem is just at "select Orange Line stations."

The MBTA reported at 1:50 p.m.:

We are experiencing a technical issue that is preventing riders from adding cash or credit/debit value to CharlieCards at Fare Vending Machines in stations. Please see station personnel for assistance.

Some riders followed up with comments along the lines of: What station personnel?

Most of the orange line riders are Parkour trained.

I have guests this weekend from out of town. I live 3 mins from a red line stop. I told them not to bother with the T. First time I have ever said that to anyone.

Unless the T selectively disabled those machines.

“Select” also implies an exclusive feature or product. Like, “only available in select stores.”
