MassLive.com reports on today's arraignment of Aidan "Turtleboy" Kearney on charges that include calling the wife of a state trooper working on the murder case against Karen Read, accused of running down her boyfriend, a Boston Police officer, in Canton.
Kearney was also charged, in Stoughton District Court, with working with a fan who worked as a dispatcher at a police department in eastern Massachusetts to dig up information related to the case, specifically ownership information based on car license plates.
Kearney was released on personal recognizance.
Avon Police announced today they had put a dispatcher on paid leave:
The dispatcher will remain on leave pending an internal investigation and pending the outcome of an investigation being conducted by a special prosecutor under the Norfolk District Attorney's Office into alleged inappropriate and illegal use of law enforcement databases, which dispatchers have access to.
