Can I just send a shout-out to Mary Ellen for all of the wonderful photos (and videos) of hers that are posted here on UHub? I so appreciate the almost daily sights she captures. Such a break from all of the other news that happens locally. And, thank you Adam, for doing such a great job reporting all of the other news!

Clever girl!

But do egrets and herons even interact?

When they're white, they're called egrets (usually), but they're all in the same family. The bird in the picture is, I believe, a Great Egret, which is also known as the Great White Heron. There is a white form of the Great Blue Heron that is also known as the Great White Heron. It's not much of a distinction.

That doesn't mean they interact, of course. But they do appear to fish together in companionable silence.
